Zertia is an ANAB-accredited conformity assessment body built specifically for AI governance. We certify AI management systems under ISO/IEC 42001, ISO/IEC 27001, and ISO/IEC 27701. We also conduct independent AI audits and regulatory risk assessments aligned with the EU AI Act and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
Accredited by ANAB (ANSI National Accreditation Board) in the United States, with accreditation processes underway with UKAS in the United Kingdom and ENAC in Spain, Zertia operates as an independent third-party body under internationally recognized ISO standards across three offices: Boston, Madrid, and London.
Founded in 2023, Zertia was created to address a structural gap in the certification industry: the absence of accredited, technology-native bodies capable of assessing AI systems with the rigor and independence that regulators, investors, and enterprise buyers now require. Our clients come to us for certification, but also for something harder to find: credible, defensible assurance that holds up under regulatory scrutiny, investor due diligence, and procurement review.

Accreditation is the formal recognition that a certification body is technically competent, independent, and authorized to issue internationally recognized certifications. When an organization obtains ISO/IEC 42001 certification from an accredited body, the certificate is trusted by regulators, investors, and enterprise procurement teams worldwide. Accreditation ensures that the audit has been conducted with the rigor, impartiality, and transparency required for credible third-party assurance. Zertia is an ANAB-accredited certification body for ISO/IEC 42001 – AI Management Systems. ANAB is the U.S. national accreditation body operating under ANSI and part of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), ensuring global recognition of accredited certifications. Zertia is also pursuing accreditation with UKAS (United Kingdom) and ENAC (Spain / European Union) and in conversations with regulators in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the UAE and Singapore, as part of its international expansion.
